World Series of Video Games Partners With Blizzard Entertainment, Launches New Website. Registration Opens for the First Three Events in the Circuit; Official World Series of Video Games Website Launches at www.thewsvg.com.



New York- March 20, 2006 - Games Media Properties, which recently launched the first-ever World Series of Video Games (WSVG), today announced a partnership with Blizzard Entertainment, developer and publisher of the world's most popular massively multiplayer game, World of Warcraft, and two of the most highly acclaimed standbys of competitive gaming, Warcraft III and StarCraft. As part of the arrangement, Blizzard will be providing a customized gaming area for players at select WSVG events this year, complete with a dedicated 10mbp drop and 500 dedicated BYOC seats.

The WSVG also revealed that registration for the first three events in the circuit has opened, including the LanWar competition in Louisville, Kentucky (June 15- June 18, 2006); DreamHack in Jonkoping, Sweden (June 17 - June 20, 2006) and the 2006 CPL Summer Championship being held in Grapevine, Texas (July 5 - July 9, 2006). The official WSVG website, which features details about these events and registration for the tournaments, also launched today. The announcement was made by Games Media Properties executives Matt Ringel and Scott Valencia.

The World Series of Video Games is the first video game competition circuit on multiple gaming platforms that culminates in final rounds at which true world champions emerge. The 3-5 day events will be open to the public and will encompass 150,000 square feet of tournaments, exhibitions, concerts and other attractions. The World Series of Video Games is presented by Intel and sponsored by Xbox 360. Registration for the first three tournaments can be completed at www.thewsvg.com, the newly launched official website of the World Series of Video Games. In addition to registration information and access, the website includes vital tournament and event news and information as well as forums in which registrants and fans can discuss these exciting upcoming events.
