Horizons was one of those

Horizons was one of those games that I initially thought sounded really cool. Then development took forever and I lost interest. Then David Bowman joined Artifact and restructured the entire company (and the game). He showed it to me at E3 and his energy for Horizons was infectious, giving me a desire to play the game again. Then... the game came out. It didn't even come close to meeting my expectations based on what Bowman said to me. I was disappointed. It's not that it is a bad title, but it really didn't bring anything innovative (buzz!) to the table. You get to play a dragon. Wahoo.

The company has gone through hell and back. Layoffs, bankruptcy, being sold to Tulga. So now we see the folks who created (some of them anyway) Horizons not only releasing an expansion for Horizons, but announcing a brand new game that (shockingly) sounds sorta cool.

Time will tell what comes of this. I'm gonna have one of my folks track Bowman down at E3 and get some info for y'all. Stay tuned.
