'The Darkness' Banned in Singapore, According to Report

Politicians and countries need to quit banning good games, and focus on ridding the world so that we'll never have to play a bad game again. Find me a candidate with that on their ticket and they'll get my vote. I'm playing The Darkness, I'm enjoying The Darkness, and there will be out a review shortly. Is the game violent and gory? Yes, but it's called The Darkness! Did you expect bunnies?

Another week, another Take Two game gets banned.

This time, it’s the government of Singapore and the game getting the chop is The Darkness, according to a brief report on Game Axis. Here’s what the Singapore-based site is saying:

It’s official now, coming straight from the folks from New Era - the distributor responsible for bringing in games from 2K. The Darkness is officially banned in Singapore for what the local censorship have dubbed excessive violence.
