School Officials Warn Parents About New 'Bully' Video Game

In what continues to be a hot topic, given the nature of the game and such people as Jack Thompson raising a fuss. Now, new steps are being taken to inform parents of supposedly how wrong it is for their kids to be playing this game, as school officials down in Florida are warning parents of the game Bully.

Superintendent of the Palm Beach County School Board, Art Johnson, placed a recording message to dial up all the parents of children attending the Palm Beach county schools. The message system is commonly used to alert parents to statewide testing dates and current school news. This time, Johnson's message warned parents to become aware of the new "Bully" video.

Johnson requested that parents not only be aware of the new game, but warned parents to carefully watch their children. Johnson explained that the schools are very concerned with violence and have maintained kept heightened security. The school board believes that this video exhibits bad examples for our children, and that parents must be our first line of defense for the safety of our children. Johnson stated that the schools are doing all that they can, but the parents must take the initiative and assist them for joint success.
