Before really getting into the world of videogames, heading to conventions, meeting industry executives, and working on this site, I'd probably say the owner of this quote was a fool. Then again, consoles were all I ever really followed or played. Now though, I'm slowly getting more and more into the world of PC gaming, and though I'd hardly say console's days are numbered, I am thinking now there might be more PC staying power than I once thought.

During Wednesday night's press event for HP's plans for their upcoming gaming PC based products, they also held a panel with PC game developers and one of them believes that Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo's console business may be close to being over. Computer and Video Games has the article:

"I believe the days of the console are numbered," said Trion World Network founder Lars Butler. "There is one more generation of gaming consoles and that is it," he claimed. The broadband game publisher boss says that the gaming potential of PCs could render games consoles obsolete.
