As you may recall from a recent article I did, trying to find a Wii for pre-buy did not go swimmingly for me at all. I managed to luck out and got placed fourth on a list at a local Blockbuster, and had hope that would get me through on the day of release. I literally just got a call from said Blockbuster in question, informing me that they got word from the corporate office that they would be unable to do pre-buys for the Wii, and that all systems they got on that day would be sold on a first come first serve basis. At least they called to give me the word, so I wasn't left hanging come launch day. If anyone else pre-bought at a Blockbuster, you better do like me, and get cracking on another means of acquiring one.
