Aspyr Media today announced LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game, which allows players to re-live the most memorable scenes from the prequel Star Wars film trilogies as unique LEGO characters, has shipped on the Mac. Licensed from LucasArts, LEGO Star Wars was produced by Giant Interactive Entertainment and developed for the Mac by i5works. For the first time ever, one of the world's most successful film series meets one of the world's favorite toys in an epic new video game. LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game features a game world and characters built from virtual LEGO bricks that allows gamers to play through the whole story of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Gamers can play as more than 30 of their favorite Star Wars characters through more than 18 levels, experiencing the entire storyline of the first three movies in the Star Wars saga with plenty of action, puzzles, and unique Star Wars humor. Additionally, players can enjoy a two-player cooperative play mode that lets a second player drop in and out of the action without interrupting gameplay. From Podracing on Tatooine and the battle to repel the droid onslaught on Geonosis, to Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn's fateful fight with Darth Maul, LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game provides an immersive Star Wars experience, with the added unique take on the Star Wars fantasy that the LEGO toy line brings. The game is rated "E" for "Everyone" by the ESRB and is available at www.aspyr.com for $29.99. More information on the game can also be found here.
