This elf/faerie hybrid isn't as hardcore as Legolas or Merry Gentry, but Kameo does have a certain flawed charm about her.
THE STORY SO FAR
The story of Kameo is quite disappointing, as the backstory is laid out too much in the manual more than it is shown in the actual game; its disappointing because the history and world is pretty interesting and would have made Kameo a better game had this been developed more and placed into the actual living world you play in. Long ago, the Elves (odd since they have wings like faeries and I'm pretty sure Rare once actually referred to Kameo as a faerie herself, but oh well) and Trolls once lived together in semi-harmony, which consisted of the trolls building fantastical machines and the Elves using their magic to infuse the world. However, one troll named Thorn, who was the smartest and strongest of his people, rose through the ranks and decided to lead a war against the elves he felt were keeping his kind down.
King Solon (the elf king) was too preoccupied with the quest of finding the Elemental Warriors to notice Thorn's gradual increase in power, and so he was too late to crush it before it reached its pinnacle. King Solon, after he collected the Warriors, then used their transforming power to stop Thorn once and for all and ended up freezing him as a statue. The battle wasn't easily won though, as King Solon would go missing, leaving his wife and family behind to take up the throne.
