I-play, the mobile games company, today announced the global launch of Skipping Stone, probably the most critically acclaimed mobile title to launch this year. Mobile phone operators and online portals across North and South America, Asia Pacific and Europe, will today launch the most compulsive 'one thumb play' title, created by Korean-based developer, Gamevil to mobile gamers around the world. Skipping Stone is the first of a number of new 'one-thumb play' titles that I-play will be releasing over the next couple of months. In addition to numerous awards, Skipping Stone has received positive review scores from the world's leading mobile gaming and entertainment information sources including: 10/10 Mobile Choice 9.0 / 10 IGN Wireless The gameplay is based around the age-old concept of stone skipping, and challenges gamers to skip a stone as many times as possible through the distinctive Anime style environments. Using a power gauge on the right of the screen, players can charge up their initial hurling strength upon releasing the stone, increasing the chances of achieving high skips and huge splashes. Through your skipping adventure, players can collect a number power ups that will aid you in your quest to find the edge of a mystical ocean including height and speed increasing icons, to enormous whales that recharge your skipping ability. Gamers also have a choice of two different play options including distance and splash modes. Paul Maglione, Senior Vice President of Publishing and Marketing, I-play commented: "This game is the very definition of pick up and play. We are incredibly excited to launch this hugely anticipated title. True to the philosophy of I-play, Skipping Stone has something to offer hardcore videogames players and novice game players alike. It provides instantly accessible gameplay, combined with the challenge to keep going back and beating your own previous high scores." Jason's Comments: Once again, a game I've never heard of, but this one sounds really unique...to bad my phone can't play games.
