There continues to be fallout from the firing of Jeff Gertsmann over at Gamespot, who, despite the claims presented by the company itself, many believe was fired due to a poor review of the game Kane and Lynch. Today Gamespot game reviewer Frank Provo states in his personal blog that he is quitting because of the unjust firing, stating that, "I believe CNet management let Jeff go for all the wrong reasons. I believe CNet intends to soften the site's tone and push for higher scores to make advertisers happy. I won't lie to people and tell them a game is good when it isn't. I won't downplay negatives that readers have a right to know about."
