I'd like to shed a tear for them, but really, they are still making oodles more money than I am - and I'm working like four to five jobs! Parents - read the info and let your babies grow up to love videogames and want to get involved. Kids - show the parents the story and demand you get more play time in (only call it learning for your future career goal).

Gamasutra helped narrow the possibilities on Sunday when it reported a drop in the average American game industry salary to $73,316 in 2006, down from $75,039 the year before.
