46% of Stores Selling M-Rated Games To Minors

I'd like to think I look my age and old enough to be able to go into a store and not have to flash my driver's license to purchase the newest FPS or grizzly Manhunt 2 that comes along. Despite looking my age, I've still been carded a few times by employees, so when I see the amount of people selling M-rated games to minors, I'm tempted not to believe it to a degree. So are people starting to be carded more and more?

A two month undercover survey produced in part by the NIMF (National Institute on Media and Family) has found that 46 percent of U.S. stores investigated were willing to sell “M for Mature” rated games to teenagers younger then eighteen years of age.

More than sixty stores were surveyed across the U.S. by a group led by the East County Youth Coalition, based in San Diego. According to a report in the San Diego Union-Tribune, the groups have called on retailers to more closely adhere to the ESRB rating system.
